Jamie Santana, CCHW has been a certified community health worker for 13 years in the greater Allentown, Pa area where she is currently employed through Valley Health Partners. Jamie works in the settings of not only in the community, but also school-based clinics, Center for Women’s Medicine (OBGyn) and Children’s Clinic, with a diverse professional organization devoted to the advancement of the CHW profession. Jamie is a member of the PA Certification Board of Directors, Penn State Cancer Institute (PSCI) Community Advisory Board, CHW Advisory Council, and Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center CHW Training Program Advisory Board. She is the Penn State Project ECHO Facilitator for CHW section and is the CHW Advisor for Wellness Equity Alliance. Jamie also serves in a variety of initiatives in her county as well. In 2020, Jamie was named the American Public Health Association CHW of the Year. She is currently enrolled in the Temple University School of Social Work and anticipates completing her BSW in 2025.
