Recertification
Certified Community Health Workers (CCHW) are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education relevant to community health, including 3 hours in ethics every two years. The recertification schedule is every two years from your initial certification date or most recent recertification date.
The fee for recertification is $75.

2024 CHW Conference
Pennsylvania’s Third Annual CHW Conference will take place on September 23rd-24th at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College, PA. Hosted by Pennsylvania AHEC. Registration is $275. CHW Conference Scholarships are for individuals employed as CHWs or seeking employment as a CHW and are available on a limited basis. Submit your application to be considered for the scholarship.

Unfortunately, there are no refunds; however, you are able to send someone else from your organization as a replacement.

Yes, we will be applying for CHES credits. CHW certificates will be provided at the end of the conference via email for those who need credits for CHW recertification.
A light breakfast, lunch, and snacks/beverages will be provided each day. Dinner will also be included on Day One.
There is onsite, free parking available.
Yes, a special group rate has been secured for conference attendees at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center for Sunday, Sept 22nd and Monday, Sept 23rd. Thi rate is $139 (one person in room) + Tax and one breakfast voucher. Rates go up by $10 for additional occupants in the room.
