Emily Nardella is Senior Manager, Community Impact and Health at United Way of the Capital Region. For the past five years she has overseen the Contact to Care health access initiative which funds CHWs at FQHCs, health systems, and the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute. In that role she works with community healthcare and other agency leaders who direct the program. Prior to her role at United Way, Emily was self-employed as a marketing and communications professional for 18 years. Speaking with patients, providers and healthcare executives, she repeatedly heard about the importance of healthcare access and an increasing emphasis on improving health equity. She views her role at the United Way as an opportunity to help break down barriers to care and make an impact on community health. Emily also serves on the board of directors of the Capital Area Coalition on Homelessness.
